Barnardo’s – Cannes Young Lions

Client: Barnardo’s

Brief: Create a print ad that communicates Barnardo’s vision that no child should be turned away.

Synopsis: It’s too easy to ignore charity adverts when flicking through a magazine or newspaper. So why not create an ad that makes the needs of children harder to ignore? We do this by creating a visual representation of our vision ‘To realise the dream of a world where no child is turned away.’

We created a double-sided press ad that gives the impression that you are turning away a child who needs you if you turn the page. You then read a follow-up message that makes you feel a sense of guilt and asks you to go back and help.
