One Minute Brief of the Day: Create posters that promote the message that refugees are more than the labels that are put on them with @BritishRedCross #EveryRefugeeMatters

We’re delighted to be collaborating with the British Red Cross today to create posters supporting their Every Refugee Matters campaign. This is a great opportunity for the OMBLES to spread a very important message.

One Minute Brief of the Day:

Create posters that promote the message that refugees are more than the labels that are put on them.

About the campaign

  • R̶e̶f̶u̶g̶e̶e̶s̶

  • A̶s̶y̶l̶u̶m̶-̶S̶e̶e̶k̶e̶r̶s̶

  • M̶i̶g̶r̶a̶n̶t̶s̶

They are more than just labels.

When terms like ‘refugee’ and ‘asylum seeker’ are stripped away from someone, we’re left with who they really are: a person. A person like you or me, with family, friends, dreams, stories, thoughts and feelings.

But too often, there is a negative perception of refugees. People who have experienced being a refugee shouldn’t be defined solely by these terms and labels, but by the people they are and what they bring to our communities.

This Refugee Week we want to show that refugees are far more than the labels that are assigned to them. We want people to see them as they are: like you or me.

Read this post to learn more about those labels.

The British Red Cross is a humanitarian organisation and is politically neutral and impartial, so content should not be political. The message needs to be impactful, relatable and empathetic.
