Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for. It’s #WorldWildlifeDay and that means we have the chance to, finally, celebrate the great idea by @ZedTrafficker to remove nature from badges/logos of the teams/brands we know and love.
This is one that we need EVERY OMBLE to get behind, in order to make this as big as possible.
To support the campaign, today’s brief is inspired by one of last month’s winning submissions by another wildly talented OMBLE, Stew Allan, and the idea takes the nature of brands and teams logos/badges and incorporates them into their real-life habitats.
We’re looking to the OMBLES to help bring this idea to life with creative ways of doing this with logos/badges/flags from all over the world. We really want you to think big on this one.
Here are some examples of what we are looking for. Be as creative as you like. Once the nature is removed from the logo…where would you like to see it?
About the wider campaign:
Today, on World Wildlife Day, the Voice for the Planet coalition (which includes WWF, World Economic Forum, UNICEF, Conservation International, Earth Hour, and The Nature Conservancy) is running an activation encouraging companies, NGOs and sports teams to remove nature from their branding.
We’ve got lots of brands and teams getting involved already including Wolves FC, Hootsuite, Brewdog, PG Tips and many more.
Twitter are supporting the campaign too, seeing the #WorldWithoutNature hashtag getting it’s own emoji!!
But we’d love as many people as possible to do it.
So, we really need the OMBLES to help give us one last push.
Just think of the amount of brands/teams worldwide. There are hundreds of thousands! And, this could be the start of a campaign that we build year on year!
So, please get entering, retweeting, tagging and nominating for this great cause!!
Brief:
Create posters to support the #WorldWithoutNature campaign by removing nature from famous logos & badges and show it in its natural habitat for #WorldWildlifeDay
This can include animals, trees and plants. Be as creative as you like and enter as many times as you wish. The more the merrier!
Remember to include the relevant nature-less logos/badge in the corner of your entries too!
Tweet your entries to @OneMinuteBriefs & @WWF with the hashtags #WorldWithoutNature and #WorldWildlifeDay
Tag the relevant brands/teams into your tweets and encourage them to get involved!! You can also nominate others too!
Example tweet:
Here’s a poster idea I've had for you @ChelseaFC. I hope you will join many other brands/teams today in taking the nature out of your badge to ‘Imagine a World Without Nature’ for #WorldWildlifeDay

Think BIG. Think GLOBAL.
About World Wildlife Day
Last year World Wildlife Day was celebrated under the theme "Sustaining all life on Earth", encompassing all wild animal and plant species as key components of the world's biodiversity.
Earth is home to countless species of fauna and flora – too many to even attempt counting. This rich diversity, and the billions of years during which its myriad elements have interacted, are precisely what has made our planet inhabitable for all living creatures, including humans. Historically, we have depended on the constant interplay and interlinkages between all elements of the biosphere for all our needs: the air we breathe, the food we eat, the energy we use, and the materials we need for all purposes. However, unsustainable human activities and overexploitation of the species and natural resources that make up the habitats and ecosystems of all wildlife are imperiling the world’s biodiversity. Nearly a quarter of all species are presently at risk of going extinct in the coming decades, and their demise would only speed up the disappearance of countless others, putting us in danger as well.
On World Wildlife Day 2021, we will celebrate the special place of wild plants and animals in their many varied and beautiful forms as a component of the world’s biological diversity. We will work to raise awareness of the multitude of benefits of wildlife to people, particularly to those communities who live in closest proximity to it, and we will discuss the threats they are facing and the urgent need for governments, civil society, private sector actors and individuals to add their voices and take actions to help conserve wildlife and ensure its continued use is sustainable.
