A real creative bang went off during our two explosive briefs with Grenade back in April and May 2022, big enough to let the whole of the UK know the strength of Grenade’s protein-packed bars.

In April during a very timely 1st of the month, it was decided that Grenade and Tiny Rebel wanted to let off a cheeky surprise to advertise their ‘all new’ but not so real-life protein bar…? Fair to say that even our regular OMBLES really did fall for this prank, leading the whey in some entries that really did raise the bar up until 12pm when we decided to hit them with the bombshell… APRIL FOOLS!

Even after that, hundreds more entries came flying in as the one thing that was certainly real on that day was the huge prizes up for grabs. Attaching ourselves to the existing hashtag meant that Grenade were the prominent brand across social media on April Fool’s Day… all day long.

Fast forward to May, and Grenade came back to us to squeeze out more of the OMBLES’ creative juices for their all new, and this time very real, lemon cheesecake-flavoured protein bar.

Without any creative restrictions, we saw some simply the zest entries from the hundreds of people who wanted to pull the creative pin on Grenade’s brief. We found Grenade enjoying all the entries so much that they were retweeting nearly every single one and found some tweets reaching tens of thousands of impressions alone, which cumulated to an overall reach of over ten million.

It would be a blast to have Grenade join us back once more for another brief soon, maybe even for another cheeky attempt at fooling the OMBLES and general public once more on April Fools Day…
